Further edits to the saga involve wasting the talents of more beloved actors. This would be 079. #180246: Sir John Hurt. He appears at the end of ROTJ replacing Marlon Brando (from a previous version) as Anakin to say a few lines to Luke before dying.
This coincides with the revelation of Luke’s beard in TFA.
Some earlier footage from his career is also used for his ghost form.
They also proceed to waste Patrick Stewart by putting him in as a bit part in the Jedi Council.
