Why Hayden's acting in ROTJ was bad...

But you've since been inserted, in place of Shaw, at the end of the Return of the Jedi DVD.

HC:I got a real kick out of that. They told me, "By the way, you're in Return of the Jedi and sent me a copy and there I was! It was neat - there I am next to Alec Guinness and Yoda.

He DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HE WAS IN THE MOVIE!!!

That's terrible.

No wonder his footage was so out of sync with everything else; it was apparently cobbled together from various outakes and stuff, as many of us had suspected.

LOL

I thought about it, I thought "Hey maybe he dosen't even know he was there", but then I thought "Nah, it's impossible, not even Lucasfilm would copy and paste Hayden's head on the movie and not even let him know of it."

Well at least he didn't choose to do it...

And at least he realizes that some of the criticism is valid against him. To be honest, I have a newfound respect for this guy. He's just a tool being used Lucas.

Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here, this is the war room!

At first I thought you said:

"I have a newfound respect for this guy: He's a tool." which is sort of contradictory...

Hitchcock dispised actors and used them as tools too, and his movies were good. What's wrong with GL?

What I wouldn't do to erase that hideous ad-fuxory from my memory.

maybe if I say "There is no Hayden Christiansen in ROTJ..." enough...

Well, we can't give Hayden a hard time about this anymore

The thing I hate most about the SE is that now whenever I sit down to watch the OT I can't help but notice when something goes by that was later changed.

Now when I see the ending of the saga, I think about how it was changed!

AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!! *memory wipe, please*

Well, thats what happens when we watch these movies so much, I have friends that cannot even tell something was changed.

I showed one of them the Greedo scene and they were like "Huh, they changed something?"

Hitchcock knew how to make a good film. Lucas doesn't. "Nuff said.

He would not use it to replace the plot.

I think Hitchcock would be wise to the idea that CGI is used as an alternative to plot all too often and would have avoided it. Besides, to be honest, thinking back to Hitch's films, I can't think of one that would have been made better by the use of CGI. Can anyone else?

THE BIRDS! Think of all the coooooool things that they coulda done to the birds with CG!

Oh, wait, I forgot I wasn't George Lucas. Nevermind, The Birds with CG is a terrible idea

Nah, I think it's much better the way it was with the models and the real birds. So much more realistic. Can you imagine trying to act against a phantom bird pecking at your face? And I definitely think it's more imposing just having the birds sit there watching you then flying around you like buzzards. I'll take the original.

I'll take the original anytime, but... they gotta do something about the sound of the birds, I hate that "synthetizer" feel the birds sound on that movie. BTW has anyone noticed it has no musical soundtrack?

Wait, I totally can't tell because of the text-only nature of the internet. Did my sarcasm just go right over everyone's head?

Yeah, I noticed it. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. Adds to the eerieness of the film by emphasizing how desperate their situation is because there is no one around them other than the birds. The lack of music just makes me think of isolation. Kinda like how there was no music during the entire time that Tom Hanks was stuck on the island in Cast Away. According to Zemeckis, it was intentional. He said that the character doesn't have music so why should the audience?
