Welcome aboard!

A similar scenario happened in the old Marvel comics, where a pirate nemesis of Han Solo came across a Star Destroyer that had been heavily damaged in a battle with the Rebellion, and realized it was repairable. The issue of how many pirates does it take to crew an Imperial ship didn’t really come up though.

Booster Terrick runs the Errant Venture with a skeleton crew of 4,800. They don’t mention how many of that crew may be droids, but it’s alluded to that it’s about as small a crew as he can get by with and still have the ship remain functional. It’s also stripped of most of its armament and left with little more than self defense capability. Hardly battle-ready. Noble’s idea of an additional droid component could help with that.

I don’t know anything about prequel-era ships but just going by the info above, I suppose I’d go with the ship needing the smallest crew.
