Removing inconsistencies with new ones is not a good deal.
Yes it is. I’m not saying one should fanedit the OT story elements. I already said the OT is fine. But it does have inconsistencies, like Ben saying Imperial Stormtroopers are precise; or 3PO saying he’s not very good at telling stories; or Han saying Lando is the respectable one; or Ben saying Anakin wanted Luke to have his lightsaber when he was old enough, even though to protect him from the Emperor, Luke was hidden from his father when he was born; or saying Luke was hidden from his father when he was born while Ben seemed to have had to give up the name Obi-Wan long before then.
Again, I say watch Fall of the Jedi before you pick it apart. And try to give benefit of the doubt going in, because if you expect to be disappointed then that’s likely what you’ll get.
