Oh. No, I’d say leave it to the audience to fill in the gaps. Subtlety is better than being force fed information, and as I said, the quality of the footage wouldn’t match. Just have a good story, with interesting, believable characters. The backstory doesn’t have to be explained entirely on screen.
The OT doesn’t need to have PT footage inserted into it. It’s the PT that needs to be edited to fit the OT, not the other way around. Adywan’s edits for example, while wonderful, don’t change story elements. He just updates the quality of certain special effects and he fixes prop inconsistencies.
The OT is fine in its original form.
