The internet is chocked full of fan music videos and the like, and I figured a creative place such as this, must have members that also create their own music videos. This is also a way for me to shoehorn in a music video I made.

Have you made any custom music videos? If so, post them here.

I didn’t know of a more appropriate place to post than here, so if this isn’t a good place, feel free to move it.

I’ve been saving youtube videos for at least 7-8 years now. I think maybe a year or 2 after I discovered youtube (roughly 2006, maybe 2005), I then realized I needed to have a way to save these videos since some that I loved kept getting taken down. Some are back now (thankfully) but I felt upset for losing them.

I also make music videos just for fun. One was actually a shot-by-shot remake of one that I saw and was lost (though I put a bit of my own ideas in there). Now that video is back, but mine is gone lol. Anyway, I got the idea from this underground music scene called “New-Retrowave” that basically is a total 80’s synth tribute. I’ve actually been looking for this kinda music my entire life (80’s baby here), and almost 5 years ago I found it, and it feels so good to be home again.

So anyway, the music videos that people make with this music always has a lot of 80’s movie footage set to it. And because Miami Vice is one of the most popular 80’s tv shows, a lot of videos have footage from the show. So a year or 2 ago I decided to make my contribution:

Nicely done, I quite like the retro vibe from it. It reminds me of the hours I played Vice City. I also like the pacing of your edits.

Thanks. I have a few more ideas on the back-burner but I have other projects that I’m more passionate about ATM. Problem is they’re gonna take a lot longer to do lol.

I’ve been so used to working with primitive equipment, that now that I have a good computer, I feel like I can blaze through an edit.

I bought a new rig a little more than a year ago but haven’t pulled the trigger on some better software due to price. Anything you can recommend that isn’t nearly 4 figures? lol.

I love Sony Vegas. It’s fairly self explanatory, and anything you could possibly need help with can be found on the internet. It’s a little pricey, but not 4 figures.
