My favorite film composer by far is Bernard Hermann. Taxi Driver, North by Northwest, Vertigo, … man, those are some truly amazing scores. Especially Vertigo, the piece actually builds throughout the movie, and finally comes together during the climatic scene. He was truly one-of-a-kind.
