Really it depends who I’m talking to and what the context is. If it’s not clear which one I’m talking about by the context or if I’m talking to somebody who would get confused by me just referring to it as Star Wars, or if I’m talking about it as in reference to the overall story of the saga, I’ll refer to it as A New Hope. Otherwise, it’s Star Wars. I’m not like some people on this forum getting all upset if somebody calls it A New Hope though. Been that way since 1981 and it was attached to an otherwise original version of the film. For most of us, it’s probably the first way we saw the film. It does no harm to have a subtitle to help differentiate it from the other movies.
