Easy enough to build filter chains over selected portions of a video in Avisynth. I have to do that sometimes with Detective Conan when reconstructing full length episodes from re-cut HD reruns, and patching in DVD source for the remainder. Or when mixing Animax airings with Nittele airings, something I do decidedly more often 😉
