Yes. And yes please on the subs!

Ok. How can I send them to you? By mail? Or a dropbox link perhaps?

I have a carrierback horse. Is it valid?

Shame on me. It will have to wait until tomorrow. I left my laptop with the subs at the office.

Ok, subtitles sent. I hope that it was the correct way to send a PM -the interface in this forum is a little weird-.

@TV’s Frink: Sorry, I don’t have a picture. But in any case I couldn’t beat what CatBus posted anyway. 😃

On another topic. I think I could give it a try to make a 5.1 Spanish Mix for this release. Could it be something you want to use?

Hi!
What an excellent project.
Just finished watching v. 2.5 and must say I loved it.
Thanks!

One problem with a the picture just as Han says “maybe you’d better get back in your cell”, it glitches rather badly.
I went back to the same place twice and it happened both times.
A corrupt file maybe?

Thanks again,
Dene.

Maybe. I don’t know of a problem there. Maybe you got a re-encode.

Indeed, it may be an issue of a poor reencode (done by someone else, not up to Harmy’s standards), or corruption. Mind telling us a few things about your copy, like file size, etc.? And I might as well ask, if we provide you the hash, do you know how to use checksums to verify the integrity of your file?

Harmy will be able to make any improvements to the distant sand crawler scene in 3.0? the one seen here in Mike’s restoration: https://vimeo.com/channels/starwarslegacy/119620458 , this scene is the only one that stood out to me in despecialized.

Yeah, probably. I don’t see why he wouldn’t, what with the Silver Screen Edition available. I’d be surprised if any SD footage remains by the time he gets to 3.0.

This will be a day long remembered. It has seen the end of the GOUT, and will soon see the end of the special editions.

Yeah, no GOUT for any of the v3.0 versions!

Well this is the best news I’ve heard all day. 😃

Thanks Harmy, you are awesome.

Harmy, what scenes are priority for you to replace in 3.0?

Hey Harmy! This is my first post on the forum (and english isn’t my first language so sorry in advance), but I felt like thanks to your work was in order 😃 I’m only a recent fan of Star Wars, only ever since I saw The Force Awakens actually. Now I know some of you here will argue that it wasn’t anything special, but for someone like me who knew nothing about star wars, this was a GREAT re-introduction to the universe. Most of what I knew about the whole franchise came from Battlefront 2. But man as soon as I saw TFA, i went home and immediately bought digital copies of the previous six movies, binge-watched them, and fell in love with the whole thing. However I also noticed how weird the CGI that was added looked on top on the original footage, which led me on a search for an unaltered copy of the trilogy, which at the time I didn’t know whether it even existed or not. But a lot of reading and searching finally lead me here, and I’m really grateful for your work! As a pretty young fan both in age (only 18!) and in first introduction to the fandom, I just wanted to honestly thank you for the hard, hard work you’ve put into making these editions of the movie. There’s no other way to put it, thanks for allowing younger people like me the opportunity to enjoy the movies the way they were first revealed to the public. I honestly think the CG add-ons have their merits, which is why I also have a copy of adywan’s, but just having the opportunity to preserve this movie in its original 70s brilliance is just, for a lack of a better word, awesome! Which is why I’m also currently downloading negative1’s copy, crazy how star wars has taken over my life!

But that’s beside the point, again, many many thanks to your work Harmy! Really excited for what comes next now that negative1’s scans are out! Best of luck, and may the Force be with us all 😉

That’s awesome to hear that even the new generation of fans can appreciate the original version and can see how out of place the CGI looks in a 70s movie without even knowing much about the different versions and stuff! Thanks for sharing 😃

Well, mmetharam, I’m glad your search led you here. You will never find a more wretched hive of scrum and villainy dedicated group of fans. I’ve been here since 2007 and am immensely grateful for the contributions of this forum’s members over the years.

Pass on what you have learned.

I’ll echo what everybody else said. Glad more of our generation is finding their way here. I am actually a youngster too, only a couple years older than yourself. Stick around. It’s a weird sort of family here on OT.com but the best kind of weird. Frink is the drunk uncle, but you’ll get used to him.

I can’t decide on whether I should download the Despecialized Edition of A New Hope, or the Team Negative 1 restoration. Which is better to any of you?
