I’ve already supplied my reasoning for my dislike of any spin offs of the OT. They are not star wars films. They fail to follow the iconography, the codes and conventions, the mis en scene and the mythological creation of the OT. These spin offs have tainted the OT. Some things should be left alone. Classic films should be protected and this blatant abuse shouldn’t be allowed to happen to any classic, including shot by shot remakes such as Psycho…it just boils my piss they have destroyed something that was pure fantasical magic.
