I want to start off by saying I am in awe at what the “preservationists” and “re-editors” have accomplished with the Original Trilogy. I am a layman at best, regarding the work involved and honestly Team Negative’s work is not that familiar to me. The ADYWAN and HARMY work is what I’ve kept up with. It was a surprise when I saw the notification that there was a new version of A New Hope by Team Neg. just released and I wasted no time in acquiring it. I watched the beginning of the film until the last scene with Vader on the Tantive IV and really liked what I saw. I then started to read a few negative reviews from some people regarding the amount of grain seen throughout the film, so last night I decided to continue watching the download on my computer and found I was in agreement regarding the graininess of the image. Quite frankly my memory can’t recall the picture quality of the film when I saw it in 1977, but to some this might be the correct way the movie should look, but to me I’d prefer a cleaner print as exhibited in the Harmy versions. No insults to Team Negative and their hard work.
