Hi all!
My name is Diego, I live in Argentina and I am a new member on this site (although I already knew this product because here I found the Despecialized Edition of the movies!)
I could not find a “search” on this page, so I created a new topic. Sorry.

I have a question regarding the duel between Luke and Darth Vader.
Before the final attack of Luke, Darth Vader discovers that Leia is Luke’s sister, you can see that Darth Vader has his lightsaber and also Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber in his left hand !!
Obviously I do not think it has been a mistake to film the scene, but was filmed a scene between Luke and Darth Vader came not in the final cut. My question is: There is information on this scene filmed? There are comments about George Lucas?

Yes, it was filmed and it’s in fact in the comic (ignore the editing and voice over)
Luke was to give his lightsaber to Vader so he couldn’t fight him. When later Vader threatens to make Leia fall into the dark side, Luke uses the Force to take his lightsaber back and kill him.
In the end, they decided to edit it out.

I also found this scene in the novel and in the storyboard, but I do not know if there are references to this scene made by George Lucas, actors or collaborators.
In Spanish there is not much literature about the filming of the movie and in the few documentaries in Spanish or subtitled I saw did not find anything about it.
