So the Emperor barely guarded the only thing on the moon worth guarding?

The whole thing was a trap. It’s a trap! The Emperor knew what the Rebels were doing there.

I love all the insane ideas you guys are coming up with trying to defend the idea that the Endor battle makes sense.

But sure, I’m the one who didn’t watch the movie.

Maybe you watched it but you sure didn’t get the very basic stuff. It was a trap for 10 rebel operatives whom Vader allowed to pass in the stolen shuttle. A company-sized unit was a big overkill.

You’re the one who thinks most of the troops were off sipping lemonade on the non-shield generator parts of the planet. Again, why?

I didn’t say that. I assumed you had some common sense. The complex/area seemed to be quite big. The other companies obviously guarded other perimeters (main door, potential other side doors, landing platform, etc.). Wherever the tiny rebel group tried to make their move there would be a company-sized unit waiting for them.

How big is this complex? The size of the planet? That must explain why the rest of the Legion never showed up.

It was huge, judging from the distance between the landing platform and shield emitter unit.

Surely big enough for other companies not be able to show up in a several minutes, the time it took from the capture to entering.

Why am I arguing with someone who seems to think the Ewoks are well-executed?

You are not arguing. You are being lectured about common sense.
