Sounds like the epitome of a personal problem because I personally don’t like to be spoonfed everything. I’d rather have a faster paced movie then to have everything over explained in the PT
I think you can have both… an fast paced fun action flick… and an movie that explains important stuff.
for example the Scene in Star Wars with Tarkin, Vader and all the Generals on the table helped a lot to explain the Status Quo to the Audience without slowing the movie down… it gave us Background to the Force, Vaders Role in the Empire, the Goverment and a lot more stuff…
I think we all agree that we do not want an dry lifeless wreck like the prequels with endless debates… but small scenes and good visual story telling can make a hell of a difference.
but to be honest I also don’t think we needed explaination for the lightsaber at that point of the movie.
but agree that i think the movie gave us to little background for some stuff…
