Thanks!Video Collector has made it pretty clear he doesn’t want people distributing them on their own. I know it can be annoying having to wait, but be patient, sometimes people take a couple days to reply on here, but Video Collector has been pretty good about replying in my experience.

Sorry guys. After the new forum software was implemented I plain didn’t realize I had PMs waiting. (That speech bubble thing up there ain’t exactly intuitive.) I also had to upload several of my covers to a new server before sending out links so…
Anyway, I thank you all for respecting my wishes to not take on any distribution of your own. All courteous messages will receive a response eventually.
And please specify which cover set you want when you message me. I can’t enter into a back-and-forth with everyone who just asks for “those Star Wars covers”.

For the original trilogy despecialized editions.
I had an idea this morning for a set of Blu-ray covers showcasing the small things in Star Wars. As a rule, I determined that they should be smaller than a lightsaber, since lightsabers are overused on covers already.
This is just a rough draft. If I were to create art specifically for these, I would have chosen R2’s restraining bolt for ANH and the crackers that Leia gives to Wicket for ROTJ, as well as focus on just the lamp held by Yoda.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

Been browsing for a while and love what everyones been doing. Finally decided to make some of my own over the weekend taking inspiration from some of my favorites here, would love to know what you all think. Still not final, but hopefully close. Wanted to make something in the criterion design style without it being too minimalist, so i decided against only using the concept art the whole cover. And in case you were wondering, under the specs is a description of the project from the Harmy FB page.

Hello! I’m a new member who has been watching this site for a while now. I’ve been very interested in the Despecialized Editions of the original trilogy for sometime now and will be making myself a set very soon. I will be using ronwlim’s artwork because it is superb! With that said, I have recently began to make box art for the prequel trilogy inspired by his work for Despecialized Edition. I’m not sure if I’ll be using the art for a special edit in the future since I don’t have any time in the foreseeable future to dedicate to editing any of the movies (even though I am fully capable and experienced in video editing), or I’ll be using it for personal cases for my blurays, but I would like to share the art with you all. Depending on what you all think of it, I may or may not continue with this art.
Again, this was inspired by ronwlim’s Despecialized covers and is meant to meet the same aesthetics as that set:

Ron: Nice! Yeah, I was really inspired by your work and thought that it was nice, simple look for box art. I liked your use of the original theatrical posters and the opening crawl and thought it would be cool if the prequel trilogy got the same look. If could have found the original poster without the logos and credits I would have retitled it as simply “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace” kinda like the ESTB and ROTJ posters, but then I kept thinking: ‘unaltered’ so I just left the poster alone.
Now that I know you will be working on such when theatrical versions come out, I’ll keep a look out and maybe we can compare our products. I am definitely looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Here’s a slight update before I get too busy to post. Decided to go against my previous thought, found textless versions of all of the posters and decided I would use them and give it a throwback/Force Awakens title treatment. Serif Gothic Bold was used. Will keep you guys updated.

I just completed my own covers of Harmy’s three Despecialized films, plus a Box Set. And I was pretty happy with the results…that was until I saw FrankT’s work & phildesfr’s work! Well done! Fantastic work. A nod to the old with recognition to the New, Despecialized versions.

Heres an update of my custom set. Finally got the positioning right to fit the covers perfectly in the 15mm Criterion Blu-ray boxes and was able to track down some higher resolution art for the back. As for the inside/reverse, I printed them with the Noriyoshi Ohrai collage style prints. All in all, pretty happy with the results. Hope you enjoy.
I am working on a own BluRay Set…
<iam using the Posters I grew up with for that set… also the Original german Titles, I want to add Booklets and a nice Box Layout.
Right now i have only an very early unfinished preview of the BluRay Covers
I would also do an localized english Version for the Members of this Board if anybody would be interested.

I realize that there are other Covers that use the same Elements as mine, but I tried to give them some personal details.
Also I always loved that ESB Cover, that nobody has used here before (I think…).
