It bothered me more that she didn’t get to say anything actually important.
About Han, at least a hero died. Hadn’t he died, Ren’s presence would’ve been even less threatening, and the whole final battle even more boring. Of course, it’s more likely they just killed him to mirror Obi-wan’s death in ANH, and “free” Ford from the cast.
