Return of the Jedi is the best Star Wars prequel. Just avoid the PT altogether unless you’re curious on how bad they are. It’s funny how all of Star Wars is built on those first two movies alone. But in my opinion watch the three movies of the OT.

I only said I liked it as a kid because I mean, there’s fucking lava and there’s a saber duel going on. I have fond memories of pretending the floor was lava while I dueled with my little brother at the time, but that was over 10 years ago for me.
Now I much prefer the duels of Luke and Vader, even Empire Strikes Back for obvious reasons that have been stated numerous times.
Prequel stuff is often a source of great humor for me to appreciate, in the parodies that is, and not the actual ‘jokes’ that try to pass as jokes in the films. I still hold some attachment to the prequels actually, but it doesn’t match up to the same level of my younger self anymore.

Most OT fans complain about it; I’m just copying what everyone has been saying on online forums for a decade. I didn’t have a problem with the film until I started lurking on this forum back in 2004, when I heard about the bullshit DVD changes.
