I would also recommend Hal9000’s ANH, which I’ve only just recently watched. It has very little of the Tatooine sillyness (really just one Ronto shot and the first Dewback). It’s based on Harmy’s 1997 version, though, so what you think of the color will depend on your opinion of that.
