I think a lot of people are trying very hard to like the film after the prequels but I think on a few viewings at home and not on the big screen they will see all the faults in all their glory.
Perhaps they might be. Perhaps I am. Perhaps people are trying very, very hard to dislike the film also due to the prequels. Perhaps definitely the last one.
For me it’s nothing to do with the prequels, this is the beginning of a new set of star wars spin offs with tfa clearly setting out a new trilogy. I didn’t dislike the film like I completely disliked the prequels, I just left confused as to what this film actually was which, for me seemed a film that was poorly executed. It could have been brilliant! I just felt they tried to hard if that makes sense? Almost as if they sat around the table throwing as many ideas at it as possible. Keep it simple Imo it didn’t require a lot of the elements contained within it to set the scene for the subsequent installments!
