Hey, thanks for liking the idea. As I said, I think I’ll always enjoy the real cut for this film, but these things are fun anyway.

I think the execution of this idea is really going to depend on the bonus material we get. Using only the scenes we have, the best we would get from this idea is a compelling ‘draw’ where both sides sort of lose at the end. It will differentiate it from ANH, but that’s about it.

If we get anything more from Hosnian Prime, though, we will really be able to use the ending to put the Republic in a state of despair (that presumably it is indeed in), at the end of this film.
