When you first posted that, I didn’t know what Kylo’s theme was. So I went back and listened to it and, for me, (someone who is clueless when it comes to scores) no I did not detect similarities. I also think the music for Kylo’s battle was fantastic and suited him, but it didn’t strike me as a “theme” that could be easily reused, the way Rey’s is. It also isn’t explicitly called a theme on the soundtrack.
