Who waved what in WHO'S face? Someone came in and said they got a copy, and were going to give it to you. Me and Neil and Gonzo then chimed in to verify what it was. We weren't BRAGGING and waving it around, we were letting you know what was up, on ALL counts, including what the people who MADE it thought. It's not like the people who made it rode in here and said "nanner nanner" and then rode out.

Look, it's not like I'm saying people SHOULDN'T share them. but they shouldn't be made to feel like they HAVE to or else there's something wrong with them. That's just bullshit. I think people should have a little more respect for personal decisions. Hell, why do you think me and Neil and Gonzo didn't really say ANYTHING about these versions on the boards? 1) because we respected the creators enough to know they didn't want a whole bunch of noise surrounding these and 2) we knew it'd be a frigging bloodbath the instant we said anything, and it'd be a mountain of people tugging on our pantsleg to get us to break confidence. And so it was simply easier to stay quiet.

Plus, all this "for the fans" stuff simply comes up false with you, Rik. I'm sorry, it does. You're a good guy, you're eager and energetic as all hell, but I can smell the neediness from here, man. Dial it back a little. It's not about "Bragging" or "getting kudos" or any of that, at least it shouldn't be. And if it really IS "for the fans" then we should ALL be doing what Mike Verta and Zion and MeBe and Laserman and Gonzo are doing and giving people almost STEP BY STEP instructions on how to make THEIR OWN. What's the saying? Give a man a fish and he's fed for a day..teach a man to fish and he'll never go hungry again?

To boil it down: If someone wants to share that they're "preserving" the OT for themselves, why should we yell at them for that. Shouldn't we be cool with it? Isn't that the PURPOSE of this website? I don't think OriginalTrilogy.com is about "Where we come to celebrate the originals..unless you aren't gonna cough em up, then fuck you, and don't tell us about it, greedy." which is essentially how you're coming off.

And if someone DOES want to share it, that's even cooler. And if someone wants to share em AND let us in on HOW they do it, that's TWICE as cool.

But if all we're doing here is sitting around and waiting for some schmuck to stumble in, do all the work so we can give em a fleeting 'yay, thanks" and then discard em once we get their transfer, then we're simply leeches attached to a dead horse as it's beaten.

Beastly: Don't sweat it. I think the problem comes in where people think I'm going insane and flame is shooting out of my eyesockets because I used a cussword. Which isn't so. I guarantee almost everyone here, in the course of their normal day, cusses at least 10 times. Like it's nothing. Like they didn't even know they did it. I dont' understand why people still react to cusswords like that, when I can't even think of a SINGLE person I've EVER talked to in ANY branch of life that hasn't let loose a 4-letter in the middle of a sentence. Not because they were angry, or upset, but simply because that's just how most people talk.

And I seriously doubt there are kids in this forum and even if they are, why should we act as if THIS is something they shouldn't be looking at. I'd rather have them read a couple "motherfuckers" and "Go fuck yourselves" here on this board than to wander into some donkeyshow site or something. Yunno? As if reading a cussword is something NEW to them. There aren't any kids floating around here, man. This is some obsession level type stuff

This is the kind of stuff you have to GROW into, to have stick to you for a LOT of years before you decide to dump thousands of dollars on obsolete technology to re-create your childhood
