I watched it for a 2nd time in 3d imax (yay!) but it was dubbed in French (boo). The initial excitement was, of course, disspiated but I still enjoyed the film, although watching it again, the starkiller sideplot seems so tacked on. We already have a McGuffin with both sides trying to find Luke. There was no need for another Death Star. If JJ’s goal was to equal the fighting ground between the First Order and the Republic, I think that a better way would have been to have a kamikaze stormtrooper destroy the planets.

But I did notice going in that it was POE who shot at and killed Finn’s friend at the beginning. And also that Finn’s numbers were the same as Princess Leia’s cell number in ANH.

For the Frenchies out there: I found it interesting that when 3po appears he says “It’s me! C3po! Previously known as Z6po”. Also my crowd laughed when Poe says “FN? What kinda name is that?” (FN is the name of the ultra right wing party in France)
