I have the 2006 DVDs and the OT deleted scenes aren’t on there.
The fourth disc of the 2004 DVD set has them, woven into the doc Empire of Dreams.
Where were you in '77?
Oh alright. That’s a good documentary.
Doesn’t the 2011 Blu ray Complete Saga set have them individually? I got the OT Blu rays as a Christmas gift and picked up the prequels used, so I’ve never actually seen the bonus material from the bundle.
You have to buy the complete saga on Blu-ray in order to get all of the special features including all of the deleted scenes from every film. If you just buy the prequel trilogy by itself or the original trilogy by itself on Blu-ray you won’t get any special features.
Well the Blu-ray set does definitely not include ALL of the deleted scenes. Maybe like half of them ? But probably less. There are so many scenes which we only know they were shot because we have like a still photo, or a confirmation by an actor, or a script excerpt with a confirmation by somebody that it indeed was filmed. Also, the deleted scenes from the prequel DVDs are not on the Blu-rays at all. And the Rinzler e-books contain more alternate / deleted scenes from the original trilogy.
