Hello. As the Special Edition from 1997 was the first time i ever saw Star Wars this version seems to be my favorite. I own it on VHS only, as it sadly have’nt be relased on DVD. Anyone knows where i can search for a good quality rip so i can have it also in “digital” form and not wear out my vhs tapes any time i want to watch it?

I would recommend Team Blu’s upscale of the SDTV rip. Also, Harmy reconstructed it based on the blu-ray as a starting point (and apparently Adywan did so for ESB, but I don’t think it’s easily available anymore). For RoTJ, there are only the straight SDTV captures, I think, and they look pretty bad.
And maybe anyone has just simple VHS rips?
