One of the most hilarious series of all time. Dunno if anyone else has been following the news but it’s coming back! They’ve been running a very successful Kickstarter campaign that ends tonight!

They’ve managed to raise enough funds for a full 12 episode season!

What do you think, sirs?

Just ran up my credit card debt to help them out. The show has helped me muddle through some tough times in my life, so it’s a small price to pay for new episodes.

Trying to read the chat on the live youtube telethon is giving me vertigo! Life imitates UHF!

MST would likely never do The Room uncut, which Rifftrax did. As a selling point of the Kickstarter was receiving copies of the new episodes, I think the prequels are off the table.

Yeah this is a return to form riffing old B-movies. Rifftrax has the luxury of never having to pay licensing fees since their main product is an external audio track to be played over films you provide yourself. MST3K has always had to pay licensing fees unless whatever they want to poke fun at is in the public domain.

The live stream countdown for the campaign was a huge success. They raised enough to do 13 episodes and a Christmas Special.

That Travolta thing is everywhere! Already seen two of him in The Shining.

On a side note, I went to the Rifftrax encore last night. I never thought I’d see something worse than Manos, (and I like Manos) but Santa and The Ice Cream Bunny makes Manos look like Citizen Kane!

I also started to panic when the group seated behind me began to discuss Star Wars before the show started. 😉

Interesting idea they have for this season. Worthy of Dr. F and Tv’s Frank. I lament we won’t get any really old movies or shorts anymore. Miles O’Keefe!!!

And Crow’s current puppeteer still can’t work the beak right? Yikes.

I managed to get the original Vol. 10 (not .2) DVD set for only about $20, and I must say, the Godzilla vs. Megalon episode would be worth the $500-600 they’re asking for on eBay.

I’m not really that much of a movie purist. I really should’ve thought my name out a bit more.
