Congratulations on your progress Harmy! I actually watched 1.0 last night and it’s still incredible. Can’t imagine how great this new version is.

That’s a new definition of “genius” I’m not familiar with.

How do I go about signing up to your updates, Harmy? I’d like to see the progress you’ve made with Jedi. The workprint link isn’t working via that youtube description link.

I won’t have the chance to download it for a while, but I’m very curious to hear from people whether or not 1.0 or the workprint will be better for our pre-TFA marathons.

I’m about halfway done downloading. I’m supposed to have a marathon on Saturday so I won’t be watching this in its entirety before then, but I plan on watching a good chunk of it before I decide which one I’m going to show.

This workprint is absolutely the version you should watch - no contest - the glitches that could happen (and it’s even possible that there aren’t any) are all of the blink and miss it variety, like the last frame of a shot being a bit differently colored or stuff like that.

Thanks for the tip, Harmy ! 😃
the timecode doesn’t detract from the experience?

Downloading now and hope to check it out this week. I actually just watched all of these this weekend and was surprised that the ending song is so much different than the SE versions. Maybe i will have to edit in the newer ending for my future watching. 😃 but i cheered when i saw the original force ghosts again!

I’m reading that the download is only 7.23GB, is that right? Are there only supposed to be 15 parts?

my rar’s are showing 6.89GB.

I’m going to watch the whole thing this weekend, but I just checked out the Lapti Nek scene and compared it to v1.0…night and day difference! It’s pretty clear that v2.0 is a huge leap forward in quality. Thank you for working your magic once again, Harmy. 😃

To have so many email addresses you’re sending to that a site designed to announce something to many email addresses flags you as possible spam, that’s really only a good sign to the popularity of the OOT… And those of us in-the-know here are really only a subset of those that care about the originals. Kind of makes you think.

Yeah I’m confused because this is less than half the size of my ANH and ESB files.

I’m getting parts of it now, but I REALLY hate those captchas. When I was diagnosed with Diabetes, my eyes were really effected, and I’ll be damned if I can read most of those damned things. I thought my JDownloader 2 was supposed to handle captchas, but it must have expired or something. It’s worth the effort, but if someone has an idea that might help, I’m willing to try.

It’s really sad when the “creative minds” behind something we hold dear are also guilty of its destruction.

For those not enjoying captchas, etc. I found that Mega worked surprisingly well (and tons faster than uloz, compared to the free tier), and didn’t deal in captchas. The only issue I had was that after about 3GB downloaded, I’d get an error that chrome ran out of HTML5 storage space. Under Linux (and I’m sure this would work for most OSes), I just had to in Chrome go to chrome://settings/cookies search for Mega and then kill what I found there, then I was good for up to another 3GB. This being due to Mega through “browser downloads” storing stuff in a cache before writing to the destination, and not clearing out completed downloads. Apparently their app doesn’t have the problem, if one is so inclined, though this really is the only time I’ve used their site (impressed, overall, actually), and I’m not about to install extra stuff for just one download. Anyway, hope that helps someone.

Hmm, my genius email thing never went through. Got links anyway of course.

For those of you complaining about the mkv being too small compared to your final ESB and SW files: It is a workprint. He made it clear that they were being encoded the same as the previous DVD9 sized releases (actually, I think he mentioned 4gb at one point, so I’m pleasantly surprised).

ott: he posted a screenshot of the time stamp a page or so back. Certainly not distracting. I’ve had easier times finding Waldo.
