I was only 1 in 1977. I do recall seeing SW in the theater though – in 1982. In retrospect I’ve come to find that my memory is confirmed by the fact that there was a re-release that summer. I never saw ESB in the theater. But did see ROTJ the following year in the theater. I even remember waiting in line to see that and the theater I saw it at, which no longer exists. A four screen multiplex (four screen!).
