It does. With the caveats described in my post. It has trouble with more than one audio track and DTS. And the file needs to be in a folder, not the root of the drive for some non-reason.
PS3 does not work with Exfat. And if you had a Fat32 drive, you would need to convert your mkv to m2ts.
