Was a little hard for me to make out some of the dialog.

Yes. Maybe if you pan the music off to the left side, as it's supposed to be coming from Ani's ship?

Help needed on a couple of fronts.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaMZ8PQqrDk

In the first scene on the ship, Jimmy Smits says the message indicates the war is over...and we drop the issue completely.  Does that work, or do I need to try and figure out a way to address it?

In the second scene on the ship, I need suggestions on what to put on the viewscreen in place of the blue dude with the horns.  The scene is unedited at the moment.

I'm stumped at the moment.

Are you replacing Blue Dude's voice?

However, you could extend Palpatine's hologram a couple seconds to add some Dr. Evil laughter?

JEDIT:Hard for me to make out what word Nute is saying.

JEDIT:Keep Blue Dude's voice, but replace his image with one of the They Live aliens?

I was going to replace the Blue Dude entirely - use new footage from...something.

JEDIT:Hard for me to make out what word Nute is saying.

:-(

Anyone else having that problem?

<insert screencap of Lina Lamont from Singing in the Rain here>

I liked it!

Yeah but the *really* old laughs are even crazier.  But I guess you could always have him do it again in EP3 when he fights palps.

Apparently this wasn’t meant to be “ridiculous,” but I’m stealing it anyway, given that it fits what I’ve done so far.

Just had a random thought about “Revenge of the Sith” today. Rather than Palpatine saying to Vader that “in your anger, you killed Padme,” he could have said “I’m afraid she left you for Obi-Wan.”

Not sure if the dialogue exists but I can probably cobble together something similar.

Really obvious old school video game sound effects would complete that shot. 😉

I’m going to go out on a limb, and predict that song is in Guardians of The Galaxy 2. 😉

When I first suggested using the track it was in the context of Luke and vader communicating in ESB. The lyrics talk of using telepathy to contact the crew of spaceships. That part of the song doesnt match that part of this film (other than the “we are your friends” bit which is hilarious). There is however the middle eight section with the jaunty flutes and talk of interstellar policemen “please come in peace” might work better with Jedi slaughtering the clones. Maybe you could use that bit and end on the “we are your friends” bit to get the best of both. Just a thought.

Hmmm…I thought the idea was that the song was the signal that told the Jedi it was safe to come back…and Obi will change the song in the next scene.

Is there maybe a way to have them receive it on the ship? That way it would be clearer it’s meant to be the signal and not just background music.

Outside the temple, it should sound like it’s coming out of a cheapo P.A. speaker or something.

For scenes inside the temple, a nice echo or reverb.

Good idea, I can have it play on the ship when they first discuss the coded message.

Yes this would make your intent more clear.
To my ears it just sounded like background music but doing this and using the segments of the song I suggested would also underline what you are trying to do. I don’t know if there are films you may have with prominent shots of tannoy speakers. Maybe Blue Brothers when they are advertising the concert has some. My memory isn’t what it was.
