I never played it myself so I don’t have a very strong opinion. I played the demo, and like others mentioned, was quickly turned off by the ridiculously strong force powers. It just didn’t jive with what I liked about the force in the OT (amazingly powerful when you thought about it, but so subtle you could almost miss it if you weren’t paying attention). Also, like so much of Star Wars since the mid 90’s the Force was severely lacking in the mysticism aspect it had in the 70’s and 80’s that was so crucial in making it so interesting.

I dunno if I’m doing a good job of explaining it. I’m not always good at using words to explain feelings. But back in the day, the force had a certain feeling to it and The Force Unleashed (based on the demo I played) failed to capture that feeling. I really have no idea how the final game turned out, but the demo was enough to make me completely apathetic and have no desire to even try the final game.
