Thanks!

#1 - The Row47 set has not been posted as a torrent and I personally have no plans on posting them at this time as I've posted the original TR47 set a few months back.

#2 - TR47 Errors info -

This set has now been watched by MANY veiwers that have gotten the set form MANY various sources - most sets have been found to have some VERY VERY VERY MINOR errors on it -

Well Known VERY MINOR errors -

ESB - 50m31s - the picture does go black for around 4 seconds before the welding scene appears.

+

In one of the shots in ROTJ immediatly after Lando orders all craft to "Pull up", picture becomes pixulated for a few seconds

Originally posted by: TR47 - I have watched my originals more than once and the only errors present are the 3 second gap and one very brief part in ROTJ in which a speeder bike explodes, the bitrate jumps over 10 MBPS (which may cause a stutter in some players)

- These MINOR ERRORS

Errors reported by - TR47, Christoffer, Hal 9000 and others now edited for content

Just a reminder... The 4 second gap in ESB has been fixed in the RowMan Remix version. If I could post it as a torrent, I would, but I'm still on dial-up. Sorry.

"But it always runs into a problem with burning a DVD from file. It says it burned sucessfully, but neither one of my DVD players nor my PC will read it! Then the dialog box I played it with said an unspecified error crept up. Every time."

What software are you using? Are you sure it is mastering the DVD correctly (i.e. is there a VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS directory on the DVD?) You can't drag-&-drop this stuff like an audio or data CD.)

I use NERO, and it's been perfect every time, either copying another DVD, or mastering my own.

Thanks, MBJ. I can take the criticism along with the compliment when it's presented so amiably. If only everybody on the board spoke to everybody else this way. Anyway, I felt pretty good with this for a first time editing job. Actually, second. Blade Runner was first, but that hardly counts.

I've stopped seeding for a couple of hours but hope to get it back up when I hit the hay. Don't know why so many seeders disappeared though. WTF???

have the ANH sountrack on two LPs, but no functional record player to play it on. I'd LOVE to put that as an alternate soundtrack on my DVD.

I've got a Technics SL 1200 and Adobe Audition..and the two disc LP release from 77. Found it for 6 bucks at a Goodwill here in town Thing is--the exact same recordings are on the CD box set from 95, AND the SE releases, except they sound better due to the remastering. There's really no reason to capture audio from the LP's. 20th Century Fox records (the 95 box set) and Michael Matessino (the SE re-release) have already cleaned up the sound for you.

Now, what would REALLY be a cool isolated score feature, would be to replace the Williams score with the Charles Gerhardt recordings of selections from Star Wars that were released on Varese Sarabande record label throughout the late 70's and early 80's. Some of those versions, dare I say, are BETTER than the original score..especially Gerhardt's renditions of the Empire Strikes Back score. GREAT stuff in there. "Han Solo and the Princess" is especially heartbreaking, and he managed to IMPROVE on "The Asteroid Field"

timing would be a bitch, though, as the tempos were generally slower. I'm sure you could time-stretch the songs to get them to play faster without altering the pitch, but even then, it might simply be easier to put the tracks where they were intended to go and let them play out regardless of whether they match with the action onscreen or not.

LOL, I think I got mine for 5 bucks at Rhino records. They were giving vinyl away about 10 years ago. I was just hoping to be able to listen to it at some point in my lifetime.

"the exact same recordings are on the CD box set from 95, AND the SE releases"

Which I don't have.

Not a problem with Vegas. I've even put two soundtracks in different speakers and listened to them with headphones in real time in order to sync them up (the video and first soundtrack were already synced - the single greatest advantage to capturing with a firewire DV camcorder) And yes, Vegas can alter tempos with or without pitch changes. I looooooove this program. It's so versatile.

Im still seeding, i just stopped for a bit to play WoW, its back up and running now though, and ill keep it as such (except for WoW breaks) at least till the end of the week. normally i do the 2:1 share but like i said earlier, i need to reinstall my computer so its not slower than molasses on a cold winter day so i can actually use it to do work on my business trip.

but i do agree, 6 seeders is weak considering its been snatched by twice as many people

If I could share more than I do, I would...

Unfortunately this is my only usable machine and I can't do much of anything when running a torrent, because it only has 64 MB RAM - so I dropped off at 0.65:1 because I needed to run Firefox (it runs like a pig when BT's going), and because I needed my uplink for my fileserver.

To be able to run BT without affecting Firefox (I really wouldn't care about my uplink then), I would prolly need at least 256 MB RAM... >.>;

THANK to all the seeders!!

I understand that we need time to keep some of these older torrents out there - SO I will be waiting about a week or so before I post another torrent

Hey again gang...

Intent to post:

I mentioned in here, and on usenet (alt.binaries.starwars) that I found those raunchy DVDRs of the OT being posted on usenet in alt.binaries.dvd. To make a long story short the set is utter "poodoo". I have gotten 2 requests in 2 days on alt.binaries.starwars to post this OT that I somehow miraculously 'found'.

I want to post the TR47 set. This is the single best rendition of the OT so far IMO. Are there any objections? All applicable .nfo files will be included.

Let me know. In the meantime I am also contemplating posting on alt.binaries.starwars (lots of 'fan film' requests) Tremor vol 1...RiK, do you mind?

If I get tacit approval I'll be posting Tremors v1 (10%par2) and then TR47 (10%par2) to alt.binaries.starwars on usenet.

Thanks gang.

Are you planning on reposting the TR47 set I posted or are you going to use the fixed "Row47" updated set?

Hey again gang...

First off, thanks for the comments, I didn't want to go out on a limb and start posting stuff elsewhere willy-nilly.

RiK, I don't have the Row47 updated set yet, I was just going to post the TR47 set. It seems like folks would rather I post the Row47 set so I'll be snail-mailing you for it (I'm going to be heading for the mailbox right after I finish this post here).

I'm going to start posting Tremors v1 tonight on alt.binaries.starwars if anyone needs to pick it up. I am rar'ing it right now, it should start within the hour. I'll also be posting "when star wars ruled the world" (in .avi format)which was on vh1 this past summer after tremors is through.

- I'll get you a set in the mail

- SWEET! Tremors on the alt.binaries.starwars THAT IS SO COOL!

- That SET is LAME - the cover lacks any style and the transfer is poodoo right? $30 MAYBE if it was a WAY better set but I still say that $15 for 4 discs is the most fair price if you have no other way to get them - The fact is MOST people STILL do not have the bandwidth that is required to get the torrents of the films.

- So DO you all think I should also upload a Torrent version of the Row47 as a companion to DarthOsor upload? As some folks DO NOT know how to use alt.binaries.starwars (myself included ) OR should I wait a bit longer for one of the XO projects? Should Darth Osor and Lord Blaksvn actually PLAN this out?

HOW will these two "masked" avengers get these posted?!

Good News!

WookieGroomer is posting the split-screen RoTJ this weekend and then he's going to re-do ESB with the TR47 version (I'll be posting it on alt.binaries.starwars for him after I finish posting tremors v1) because the one that he made with the Dr. Gonzo version skipped. Soooooooo, it looks like we'll have the entire OT in split-screen comparison with the 2004 version!

I'll get both of these off to you RiK, RoTJ this coming week and ESB once it's done. WooHoo!

Wipe them out...all of them.

Here's what's happening on my end...

- Right now I'm posting Tremors v.1 on alt.binaries.starwars

- WookieGroomer will be posting split-screen RoTJ this weekend

- I'll be posting TR47 ESB for WookieGroomer after Tremors v.1 is complete (about 86 hours or so)

- After TR47 ESB I'm doing a quick post of "When Star Wars Ruled The World" (349megs)

Sooo, this takes me well into next week time-wise.

What would be cool is if there was a coordinated release of the Rowman set both on myspleen and on alt.binaries.starwars. I can help you seed them too. I set my usenet upload speed to only 40K/sec so I don't flood the newsgroup and also so I have spare bandwidth to get and send torrents and surf the web and whatnot.

There are a lot of cross-over folks who follow along both here and on usenet. Also, I make many references to both OT.com and myspleen in my postings so maybe we can actually build a larger group of die-hards.

My 2 cents: One can never have too many sets of the OT on DVD (I currently have 4) so I think that it would be great if the Rowman set got 'out there' before the XO project comes out (I can't wait) so that way folks have time and bandwidth to absorb it all.

Man, isn't this a great time to be a fan? I never could have imagined. I'm so happy that I stumbled across this board. Thanks to everyone!

the row47 is just a fixed Empire disc right? I say if you have time to work it in as a torrent that would be great...but i know you stated a making of set with no burnt in subs, and knowing you, you prob have a bunch of other new stuff for us...maybe you can upload torrents and call on people that actually have the discs (like rowman obviously has a row47 set, your sending one to DarthOsor, and im sure there are others) can actually do the seeding...i would be willing to do this for anything that you upload that i already have (which probably isnt much)

what would people think of this...just to get some of the less new stuff (mainly the row47 fixed empire) up as a torrent.
