I have to say, I love your Episode I edit, and I think it’s the best one out there, but I started watching your Episode III edit to provide feedback and gave up about 20-25 minutes into the movie. Everything up until they land on Coruscant is great but after that, the way you reorder so many scenes just doesn’t work for me, it feels choppy and disjointed, especially the music transitions. I understand that you’re trying to emphasize the political reasons for Anakin’s fall and demphasize the love story related reasons but I just don’t think it works, the material is just not strong enough to support that change. Ultimately it feels less like a comprehensible, flowing story and more like a collection of random scenes designed to set things up later on. Sorry to say this, but I actually think the theatrical cut is stronger so far.

Please don’t take this the wrong way, it’s just my personal opinion. I honestly have not been satisfied with an EpIII edit since Kerr’s, and I have similar feelings about L8wrtr’s edit. I feel like faneditors really tend to overthink EpIII and overestimate what they need to do to fix it.

EDIT: I guess this basically means I should make my own EpIII edit…
