I've never seen a movie have "sin" in the title and not be porn.

I think this is one to stay away from.

Actually this one looks pretty cool. It seems to be a live action version of a comic book. Quite well done in my opinion. It seems to revolve around some kind of murder and there seems to be a stark lack of any hint of nudity in the trailer. I think it looks good definitely check out the trailer.

Don't worry, C_W; the ComicCon footage had a fair bit of nudity in it, so I think you'll be pleased with the end result.

Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

I read some of the comics, they were pretty cool.

What's the latest on the SuperDrive, DAYV? Any luck finding an inexpensive one?

Sin City, well, I never trust a movie based on a Frank Miller story - we all know what happened to RoboCop 3, right? Right.

All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. Ya ctually there's about half the trailer in a strip club come to think of it and a fair bit of obvious sensuality. So revoke the earlier "no nudity" comment. And does anyone have a link for that comicon footage?

THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MILLER. THE PRODUCERS BUTCHERED HIS SCRIPT WHICH IS WHY HE HAD SAID YEARS AGO THAT HE WOULD NEVER WRITE ANOTHER SCREENPLAY. HOWEVER, RR SHARES FM'S VISION FOR A SIN CITY MOVIE, AND FM IS CO-DIRECTING THE MOVIE. IT'LL KICK MAJOR @$$.

Yeah, the film should have nudity. Probably in the form of Jessica Alba since she plays the stripper/dancer. Then there is Rosario Dawson's "slightly" showy outfit. Emphasis on "slightly." Jeez, why wear anything?

The Comiccon footage was taken off the web. You may have to try to download it somewhere. It's an incredible sequence and I, too, thank Gundark for the CD with that file. Great stuff, Gundark!

Robert Rodriguez really never compromises on tone. It's either PG-Spy Kids stuff, or R-rated-for-a-reason stuff.

There's a movie called "Pearl Harbor" that might answer your question. I warn you, it's a bad movie.

Why would they want to do that? This is not a kid's comic book. It's dark and twisted and full of violence. This ain't no Superman or Batman.

Not with Sin City. Frank Miller was way overprotective with this property and never wanted to see it made into a movie. Rodriguez came along and made a short snippet of how he saw the film being done and presented it to Miller. Miller was so impressed that he worked with Rodriguez on the film and both are credited as codirectors of the finished project. If Miller was that protective and actually became a codirector, he's not going to let it become kiddiefied. If Hollywood said it was too violent to be put on the big screen, Miller would just can it and put it on a shelf rather than dumb his baby down for the Hollywood machine.

It will not be kiddified.

I agree it won't, but Frank Miller's material usually look VERY good on paper, and VERY bad onscreen. So I'm not so sure about this one.

Latest word on Ep III is that it will have a PG-13. I guess Pirates of the Caribbean served many purposes.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.
