Again, I apologize if any of my criticisms came off rude. I didn’t mean it that way.

Just keep in mind that if we were still on the old hosting service, we probably would’ve ended up with a week-long outage starting right before before Ep. VII dropped.
and we probably wouldn’t be able to post right now.
If I was one of those, it wasn’t my intention.
I hate going to school in the dark, before anyone else in my family gets up…and it doesn’t start to get light until after school starts. I can’t wait till summer. 😛
Ah, yes, the shortening of the days; how I loathe it myself. Stupid, pointless daylight savings time certainly doesn’t make it any more tolerable.

surely the end of daylight savings time will help with this, won’t it?
It’ll just be starting to get light when I leave for school. But yeah, it’ll help…somewhat…for two weeks…
It’s not like I’m scared of the dark, or anything, I just like sleeping until nighttime is over.
The Christmas musical blitz began at approximately 3 pm Pacific Time. Music Choice, have you no decency? 😉

on Halloween?!?!? That is ridiculous.
I presume their service is heavily automated, and someone screwed up. The holiday music started on Nov 1st last year and didn’t end until February.
I wish they would start the Halloween music a little earlier than Oct. 14th though. The Oktoberfest music was getting a little old by then. 😉

Here we have one radio station dedicated to Christmas music, and they at least have the courtesy to wait until the day after Thanksgiving. And they return to normal music the day after Christmas.
It’s the early instant holiday barrage that makes me sick of the whole thing by the middle of December. I was in the supermarket last night, and they already had stocked up on eggnog, and Santa was already plastered across Coke bottles.
A house down the street has had Christmas lights going since Tuesday.

Egg them!
Eggnog them!
Nog them!
Now you’re getting into trouble.
Nog them!
Last night I saw something that is just wrong and one should never see such a thing. I saw Christmas commercial complete with Christmas music, lights and snow and then coverage of a World Series game resumed. The two just do not belong together. That they appeared together is an indication of 1 of 3 things:
A. the World Series is being played too late in the year.
B. The Christmas commercials have started too early.
C. A and B.
I’m picking C.
It’s the early instant holiday barrage that makes me sick of the whole thing by the middle of December.
Exactly! I don’t want to be sick of Christmas by the middle of December. I want Christmas to be special, not something you get sick of!

when the owner is gone, you should go down there, remove the lights and leave them in a heap on their front lawn and leave a note telling them they are putting the lights up too early. Tell them to put up some thanksgiving decorations instead.
But Thanksgiving’s over! 😉
That reminds me … Why don’t the American and Canadian versions of Thanksgiving occur on the same date, anyway?
the origins of America’s Thanksgiving is not the same as Canada’s.
Yep. We waited a little longer before displacing our natives.

That’s crossing the line. The house in question is on the property of a orchid greenhouse to begin with.
If I ever get back into the Halloween thing, I’ll leave my decorations up into mid November in protest like I once did several years ago. I’ve left gargoyles guarding my front steps ever since though.
My neighbors directly across the way put up fall harvest type decorations up yesterday, thankfully.
Was tortured by Christmas music in a restaurant tonight. It’s going to be one of those seasons, I can tell.

yeah I know, I wasn’t really being serious. But it is tempting to do to those that put up Christmas lights too early.

Christmas music in restaurant on Nov 2nd??? That is insane. I would have complained to the manager.

Trick or treat traffic can be nonexistent around here some years, leaving me with a lot of candy I’m not going to eat. Local kids starting getting surly and downright rude around 2008, and that kind of soured the whole thing for me. If most of my friends weren’t so far away, I’d gladly join them in their activities. One turns their house into an effects laden spooky walkthough every year.
As for the restaurant, it’s probably satellite radio or something similar to the music channel on my cable tv. There was so much background chatter, I didn’t even hear it until halfway through my meal.
Anyway, they were so nice about offering me a free appetizer after screwing up my pizza order and making me wait a bit longer for it, I was in no mood to complain. 😃
