I discovered a serious issue. My apologies if others of you know this and I'm catching on late in the game. This also affects the BOTF discs I circulated a while back, but I'll try to keep the topic in this thread. Apparently the version of DVD-Lab Pro I used to mux both the first BOTF edit (the one with only two streams) and the DL version of my ROTJ edit had a serious bug. Block size was base 1000 instead of 1024 on the output VOBs, rendering them incompatible with some players (not mine, hence I didn't catch it). This does NOT affect the SL version that is currently being torrented, as I used Pinnacle to do the final authoring on the SL version, thus correcting the block size. Same with the 4-subtitle version of BOTF.

You'll know if the DVD was authored with the wrong block size as each of the VOB files will be 953 MB as opposed to the correct 0.99 GB. If it plays fine, then don't worry about it. But if the disc doesn't play, this is a likely cause.

For those of you using DVD-Lab Pro to create your titles, the patches are available that fix this problem. Fortunately for those of you who have DVDs with the 953-sized VOBS, the data can be reauthored on your computer with any number of reauthoring tools. The latest versions of Pinnacle and Nero will do this. I'll spare the details unless there is a demand for that info.
