I always assumed the timeline was that Anakin knocks up Padme (lucky bastard), he turns to the darkside of the force while she goes into hiding, she gives birth and he never knows, then she dies. So it wouldn't be her death driving him over the edge. Because if he knew about her death and wasn't pushed over already then the likelihood would be that he knew about the twins as well because he would have to be there to know about her death and she would've had to give birth to them before she dies, right?

I think ep3 will open with Padme 9months pregnant. Anakin will have been off fighting in the war for many months so he hasn't been back to naboo in a long time and does not know she is with child(s)

Then he will get taken to the sith temple and seduced to evil never the wiser of the pregnancy.

I figure he and padme will only share one scene in ep3.

But to not show either Padmes death or the birth of the twins is a huge mistake dramatically IMHO

I'm pretty sure the birth is supposed to be included. I dunno about her death though.

well Im sure her non death could be handled properly, but it would be harder to make it work IMHO.

Because then we go two movies with out a word about her, I guess assuming she died on alderaan, only to find out that is not the case but she is dead non the less in rotj.

I suppose she could live if there was some indication she was sick or dying.

Anyways, I'm not saying it can;'t be done properly, just that it certainly isn't how I'd handle it.

she could actually be very well and alive... we went for an entire movie without hearing about Yoda...
she might have pulled the same stunt, runn off and live on some planet, under an alias...
who knows, Naboo might even be destroyed as well...

Just so no one was confused by my remark earlier!

I said that Lucas has confirmed Padme will not die in Episode III. As for her dying later oh yeah anything is possible!!!!

In fact she should die in between episodes III and IV if Lucas stays true to his dialogue. Remember what Leia says about her mother. She said she remembers just images of her cause she died when Leia was very young!

So yes Padme does die after episode III, when and how is unknown for now.

And as for spoilers, I always mention before hand if something is a spoiler!
Hope that cleared things up guys!

Just out of curiosity, when/where did he state this. It seems sort of a big spoiler for him to be doling out now.

Anyways, I think if Padme was alive, Vader would find her, that jsut my opinion, Anakin portrayed as highly possessive, especially of her, I doubt he would ever stop searching for her, but we'll see.

As for Leia remembering her mom, so many OT lines have been reinterrpreted by the PT I wouldn't be surprised if this plays out very differently then what people expect. I mean if Padme was on Alderaan why didn't Vader jsut go get her?

The way I could see the memory thing being handled is that either Luke has already been taken away, or he is the second to be born, and Padme is holding Leia, and we get a nice close up of each of them locking eyes, a tear roles down padmes cheek, as long as she didn't share a similar moment with Luke, I could buy that as Leia's memory, epsecially since she has the force.

He said it on a spoiler site.
I find this site very reliable though because the guy who runs it had the AOTC and TPM script posted aobut 2 - 3 months b4 the release. And they were dead on!!!!

He says him and Lucas are friends and that Lucas lets him give out certain spoilers to increase the hype about the movie!
Makes sense to me!

check it out...

Me neither. Don't you guys think it takes the fun out of it knowing everything that's supposed to happen? I mean, a little hint here or there is fine, but the whole damn thing?!?

Oh supershadow, that guy is a whole mess of bees if you ask me.

Isn't he the one who said ep3 would be called "the adventures of Obi-wan Kenobi"??

I'll watch the trailers but no spoilers this time around, I was superspoiled for AotC, which was fun in its own way, but this si the last SW and it will help to keep my expectations in check, besides even if the movie totally blows,a t least I'll get the fun of being surprised.

Its cool if other want to read spoliers, but please put a warning if you are going to post one so people like myself can avoid them.

I couldn't agree more with motti_sol and Rebel Scumb. When Ep II came out, I hardly watched any trailers, and avoided spoiler newsgroups like the plague. As far as Rebel's comment about warning us about spoilers so we can skip them, how about adopting the IMDb approach? In other words, if you're going to post one, simply precede it and follow it with something like this :
***SPOILER ALERT***
I know a lot of us would appreciate this courtesy.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Yeah that works for me. To bad we can't do the thing where you have to highlight to read it.

Or, instead of that, we could just create a thread or entire topic section that is nothing but spoiler discussion. That way, if you want to avoid them, you don't have to worry about looking out for "Spoiler Alert" or the like.

Great idea Bossk, but someone is almost always going to let something slip, and the way the discussions have been going in here, I consider my solution to be best for those who can't keep it to themselves.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

I'll see if I can hack the forum script and insert a spoiler tag so you can do the highlight thing.

Until that happens, please precede all spoilers with appropriate notices. If you post a new topic with spoilers, please make note of the spoilers in the topic title.

That works for me Jay. By the way, what is this script you have to highlight in order to read? Must admit I've never seen it before.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

tf.n and some other sites use it for spoilers, the screen is blank and you have to click and drag your mouse to highlight it and then it appears.

Thanks for clearing that up Rebel. I don't spend a lot of time on tf.n, and probably won't until after EP III is released.

Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Actually, the easy way of setting up this highlight option is to just go into the HTML coding of your page and change the text color to the same as that of your background color. If you are using a background image, it can be a little more difficult, but it can still be done.
