It's asciianimation, it's simply a text file with the "frames" drawn with letters. The java applet is simply opening the file and showing it at the proper speed. If you opened it with, let's say, notepad, changed the size of the window to fit the "frame", and pressed scroll down or page down, you would see the animation, hence it cannot contain audio.
