STAR WARS: The Torrents thread — Page 21

ReverendBeastly...You will get the entire ISOMIX trilogy this week. I'll be leaving the seeds running nonstop in superseed while we're at the hospital. I truly enjoy the ISOMIX, actually it is probably my fav. It is brilliant in that it isolates the soundtrack...Star Wars is essentially a silent movie, one needs no dialog to follow the OT. The double LP was all that we had (along with the action figures and the marvel star wars comics) to relive the magic in the days before VCRs. I know the soundtrack to the first star wars by heart. I thought that ISOMIX would be sort of a novelty until I watched the first one and I was hooked. John Williams scores the films flawlessly...the ultimate space opera if there ever was one. ISOMIX is a true classic.

It is a DVD-R that WookieGroomer posted about a week and a half ago on alt.binaries.starwars. It has the 2004 version up top and the 1977 version on the bottom all synched up..split-screen style. It also includes 3 audio tracks, the 2004, the 1977, and a merge of the two. It is the ultimate comparison between the old and the new versions.

It should be on myspleen soon if everything works out right.

The author is now working on the rest of the OT too, and he says that he will then revisit ANH for an even better version.

@: Karyudo, DarthOsor and MeBeJedi,

Thanks a milllion for your help in finishing off the Jedi ISOMIX. Now, to burn and enjoy! Perhaps a bit of seeding overnight to give back a bit the couple people still trying to grab it, though when I came down to check the download a few minutes ago my upload speed was nil.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

Meee-oooww!

The original TR47 set is amazingly good in some scenes, I wouldn't have believed you could get that quality from the equipment used.
I find looking at every damn set I can get my hands on helps.

ok, after reading some of the comments people have about the isomix version i decided that i want to check this out. But downloading it off of myspleen is gonna take a while...so i was wondering if anyone that has it would be willing to burn copies if i sent them some blank discs. I'd also be willing to trade, but all i have is pretty much from myspleen, so im guessing that whoever could help me would already have the same things.

pm me if you can and want to help thanks

MBJ, are you still planning to include Isomix's isolated score in your DL version of your project?
I am fluent in over six million forms of procrastination.

I'd certainly like to. It would be great to have a version with all the possible soundtracks (PCM, my 5.1, OT DVD 5.1, ISOMIX isolated score, Def Col commentaries, OT DVD commentaries, etc.) This would likely be a separate version from the straight X0 version (and hopefully DVD-9 as well, though the PCM track would take up the most space.)

Sigh, so many ideas...

Is anybody seeding Empire and Jedi of the ISOMIX set?

ANH is downloading fine (albiet slow) but Empire and Jedi keep saying "connecting".
Is this a problem on my side, or are there just no seeders?
Thanks

I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

Are you trying to download all three at the same time?

Are you plutoneam?

Yeah I was trying to download them at once.

It's never presented a problem before. I'm confused.

And yeah, I'm Plutoneam.
