I'd still like to get my hands on these DVDs.
Who can I get them from?

PM Rikter, he can hook you up.

Then PM ADigitalMan.

I also invite any of you who have received a freebie to respond in kind. Please pay it forward, as this will ensure that the love gets spread farther and wider. Many of you have been good about this, and with this being the season of giving, make a fellow fan's holiday that much brighter. When somebody asks to get a copy, I'd rather have that user get PM'ed by ten of us offering it than have him knocking on doors for help.

I have a DVD burner.
If the DVD is under 4.7 gigs, I can copy it onto a disc and send it on its way to others. I would just make an image of the disc on my hard drive, then burn away.
I actually have over 200 blank DVD-R discs, too. Generic 1x ones I bought about 9 months ago. (Wonder how long it'd take to burn a 4.7 gig disc...?)
I'd love to get the two movies then send them to others. If you read my other posts in this thread, you'll see that I actually have a small collection of fan edits to Phantom Menace. MagnoliaFan's sound like the best of the bunch.
I PM'd Rikter but he must not have checked his messages recently because I haven't heard from him. If someone else could send me the movies I'd be very appreciative. I live in Washington state, USA.

EDIT: Another idea. If someone who is active in helping MagnoliaFan do miscellaneous tasks (subtitles, image covers, etc) were to send me the movies, I could send a bunch of blank DVD-Rs out to that person. In helping someone who helps MagnoliaFan, it'd be my way of contributing to the project.

Mag Fan I was wondering, what music did you use for the Pod race? What is the source? It definitely improves that scene. Towards the end it sounds like the theme in EpIV when Luke is flying through the trench.

Am I right?

Is the only way to get the DVD currently by going through snail-mail? I'd like to make some for friends, but feel it would be easier to do if I could locate a torrent of an ISO of the DVD, than it would to make copies once I have the disc. I can do it either way, just wanted to try to take the shorter path.

What I'm wondering is, do such torrents exist, or should I stop looking?

I don't think there is a torrented ISO image, but they are floating around in Xvid.

I've got the XVID, was just hoping for a quicker delivery method. However, if it's not available, who do I send the blanks to? And do you want +R or -R?

I can also send copies of the movies via snail mail.
Just PM me with address, etc.

Anyone else know the answer to this?

I think it was lifted from one of the Episode I video games

That sounds really cool!

I thought it might have been from the podracer game but that would've left bad audio quality probably. Indeed, the podrace sequence is much better with a consistant musical score. VERY nice work.

MagnoliaFan, would it be allright with you if I try to upload a full DVD folder file of BOTF and TCW? I wanna make sure you're fine with it before I go ahead and do.

I'm still interested in these two edits, but no one has sent me a PM.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there some setting I need to change?
I think I'm up to 8 posts now on this site, and basically all of them are begging for a way to get the edits rather than through bit torrent...

Hey there bud!

I think you need to turn on your PM first ;D - under your profile button and below your email there is a tab thet reads "Allow Private Messages: on or off"

YOU can also just visit my website link and your quest will be over

Thanks Rikter.
I PM'd you. I've turned on Private Messaging, so I should be able to read your response.

The Gungans and Neimondians have been dubbed and subtitled.

It seems that their new dialect consists of a garbled, forward and backwards, mesh of the Spanish audio.
And don't get me wrong, I think it works fine.

BUT
I think it might be better to use this method for one alien species, and to find another way to make a different-sounding language for the other species.

Now don't stone me yet, just listen.

I don't know how many of you have seen the "Phantom Re-Edit" that MagnoliaFan himself has restored to somewhat DVD quality.
But the way they seem to have done it is to 'mask' the English audio and modify the pitch and things to make it inaudible.

Now here's just my *humble* idea for possibly the MagnoliaFan 2.0 versions of whatever may happen....
I think the Neiomodians (I know It's spelled wrong) should keep their dialect as is. (By that I mean the garbled Spanish)
And I think, to better distinguish the languages, have Jar Jar and the Gungans speak a language similar to the one in the 'Phantom Re-Edit'. (But perhaps using Spanish as the base, rather than English)

Because the way it is now, it seems like every alien speaks the same language. It'd make BOTF (and TCW) seem more like a professionally made film. That's just what I think.
