Hey OT loyalists!

For archive purposes, I’m trying to track down PAL DVD copies of the 97 SE of the films.

I have the 97 SE on VHS and will have to resort to converting this into a DVD which I don’t want to have to do if I can help it.

Anyone have a copy? PM if you do. Or post away…

If anyone can get me a set on LD, I will be happy to transfer to DVD.

I think there is a thread for 97SE discussions, it should be taken over there. I think the 97SE is only relevent here as it pertains to footage that was still original in the SE that is now not in the DVD as that makes the SE a potential source of restoration for a real OT.

Hey ive got the 97SE LD->DVDs ive got 2 copies the Five Star Edition and the LOOK edition, the Five Star is DVD9 and the LOOK is DVD5, the Five Star edition is a bit bright but looks good, the LOOK edition has about the same quality as the OT TR47 dvds. ohh also the Five star is non-anamorphic, the LOOK is anamorphic. I will upload both soon(i will shrink the FS with CCE and turn down the brightness) or if you cant wait im sure i can burn you a copy.

Just for the benefit of LaserMan (or anyone else wanting to send discs from Australia to another country), postage should in theory cost $3.60 unless the PO are ... meanies and make you pay parcel rates (as long as it's under 20MM thickness you should get away with envelope postage). If they try to charge you more, tell them you think it classifies as envelope rates (and it does)! You will still have to fill in a customs form. Sometimes the PO doesn't ask you to, sometimes they even tell you not to fill one in! But it should have a customs form on it, otherwise it might be delayed due to being opened by customs later. See anything that contains non-printed material needs a custom form, even if it is an envalope.

-edit-

And a good idea is to ask the PO for a number of custom forms so that you can have them handy in the future. That way you can force having one attached to the .... "envalope" parcel.
