Told grandma to buy it for the kids for Christmas.

So, you bought the separate Seinfeld seasons or the Gift set?

Okay guys, you've convinced me. I bought the Harry Potter Boxset. Not bad for 6 discs, and I am a bit of a collector I guess.

Any news on a Remington Steele set?

I forsee it coming soon, the way they're racking up on sales from TV-Show DVDs.

Have they started selling the new Bond DVDs separately instead of in the box sets?

Sessler, bought the Seinfeld sets seperately. Didn't have much need for the extra stuff. Besides, once the additional sets come out, keeping the first couple sets in the big gift box will look awkward next to the others.

Indeed it will, plus paying an extra $20 for salt & pepper shakers and a reproduced script seems pointless.

Hear hear. And the salt and pepper shakers are molded to look like a napkin holder and ketchup/mustard bottles so far as pictures I've seen indicate.

Indeed they are.

On another note, rented Elf this weekend so I could finally see the whole thing (played for 3 months @ my theatre, and I still didn't get to see it). Kids loved it, so may have to pick it up eventually.

Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

What, did you not like it?

I enjoyed Elf. Not Farrell's best effort, but still enjoyable.

Speaking of Will, how did you guys like Anchorman?

I enjoyed it in all its schmaltzy humor. The street fight was the best.

Actually, I just rented Elf last night. Pretty cute and goofy. I do like Farrell.

How does Anchorman compare?

I would have to see Anchorman again to decide which I like better. I've seen Elf a few times now, but Anchorman only once while it was in theaters. But I remember really digging on his broadcast cronies - Paul Rudd (Friends), Steve Carrell (Daily Show and Bruce Almighty), and David Koechner (Out Cold). They, together with Farrell, made the movie. They all had a pretty good chemistry.

I too, need to see Anchorman again. Ferrell did get one of the funniest cameos this year in Starsky & Hutch.

is "SHARTLY" that much quicker than "SHORTLY"?

Sorry, just hadda.

I wish Criterion would do more mainstream action movies. A Criterion version of Road House or They Live would kick a whole lotta ass!

Thinking about Road House got me to thinking about Sam Elliot which got me to thinking about...a Criterion edition of Gettysburg. The current DVD treatment of the movie is okay, but I think it would be nice to have something a little better.

And, oh how I wish Paramount would give us a tenth anniversary Special Edition of Braveheart next year.
