Was in Barnes and Noble today, and they have a lot of classic 007 soundtracks on vinyl, with the original cover art to boot.

Beyond cool. Never see anything but bad indie bands that hipsters like. I've been wanting to get Goldfinger on vinyl, just never have gotten around to it.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Were they the recent Capitol ones? Only DN, GF and LALD were done but I could never hear any samples or find out about the transfer lineage. These have also gone onto HDTracks in hi-res.

I saw Thunderball, and OHMSS. Can't recall the rest now. I have to return something, so I'll take another look this week.

How come I've never heard of this movie before?

Bernard Lee is in it too. I'll bet someone could fanedit this into a "lost" Bond film. ;)

I've never heard of it either.
They're releasing new Bond steelbooks, these have the best cover art since the VHS releases. Still waiting for original poster art.

Yes, it's James Bond.
The new theme was on the radio yesterday I can't find it online? Sounds a bit forgetable to me, maybe it's a grower?

Damn! These beat the old covers by a mile. I don't want to have to buy them all over again though.
Nice of them to give Maurice Binder's title sequences (mostly) some love.

He's in the first few shots of the trailer, and you can just about tell it's a white guy in a mask... so probably not the Baron in grease paint. The filmmakers probably just forgot and didn't realise it looked a lot like a character they've done before.

Indeed. Forgot to mention that they're Best Buy exclusive. :( So most likely they won't be released in Europe, either. Shame!
Edit: never mind, I see they're sale in Germany at least. But they aren't releasing all the films it seems, only the ones related to Spectre.

There goes my hopes for a Live And Let Die steelbook with a flaming skull cover. ;)
So does this mean that Spectre evolved from the mysterious organization seen in the Craig films?

More likely it's a sort of homage to Semedi.
Those steelbooks look AMAZING.

fixed.
It seem that director is giving a number of nods to past films at:
0:01 For Your Eyes Only
0:05 Thunderball
0:07 You Only Live Twice
0:15 On Her Majesty's Secret Service
0:26 The Spy Who Loved Me / Quantum of Solace
0:27 Diamonds are Forever
0:30 Octopussy
0:32 The Man With The Golden Gun
0:36 Casino Royale
0:42 Die Another Day (for primitive CGI)
0:51 The Living Daylights
0:53 The World is Not Enough
0:54 Goldfinger
0:56 Live and Let Die

Target had some 007 Collection 3-packs on sale, I could not resist. So now I own the Craig's I already had, the first 3 Connery's, and the first 3 Moore's. I've seen them all, but I'm looking forward to watching them again.
I also saw at Walmart the aforementioned opening-credits-themed Blu's, however, they were NOT steelbooks, at least at Walmart. Since I doubt they made a Lazenby set of one, I'm going to have to pick OHMSS up separately, might as well be that one.
EDIT: Further research shows that the Steelbook versions are Best Buy exclusive, and they DO make a Lazenby "collection" consisting of a single movie.

I know you guys are going to say that SPECTRE and Star Wars: The Force Awakens are not competing against each other but I say they are because "Bond 24" was supposed to be released in 2014 and it's very suspicious that they moved release all the way to 2015 October 23rd in the UK and November 6th in the states not too too long before the release of TFA. So I am wondering did they hear about this new Star Wars movie and decide to move the release on purpose or what? If they are competing my money is more on Star Wars not that I have anything against Mr.Bond just for me Star Wars has been around longer in my lifetime as a kid up to now and 007 I first got into back in high school. I say it's "Battle Of The Franchises".
What’s worse George Lucas changing the OT or selling the rights to Disney
You're wondering if Sony moved SPECTRE closer to TFA on purpose to make you have to choose whether to spend your money on it or TFA?
No, I don't think Sony is trying to take your $10 so you won't see Star Wars 6 weeks later. 6 weeks is plenty of time for a movie to make its money. I feel bad for Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip. No, actually, I don't.

I'll be glad when Spectre is over with. This film has been promoted on a level that I've not seen before (In the UK at least). Went to the cinema last week and had to sit through four (Count 'em four!) trailers/adverts for the movie and/or products featured in the movie. Every other YouTube video I open plays the trailer. The TV is on about it constantly, the radio too. It's on on the front of newspapers, websites. Some of the cinema websites even have a special just for Spectre. You can't get away from it.
Maybe this is a reaction to Star Wars stealing the headlines (It feels as if Disney are just letting that promote itself in comparison) and they feel they need to market the sh*t out of Spectre despite it being a Bond film and that everybody is going to see it anyway.
