Actually cutting and moving footage around is extremely basic and would be boring to watch. Especially with Empire, which isn't being moved around at all.
A Special Feature though with storyboards and perhaps muted audio could make for some interesting special features about how the film was changed / altered before final cut.
Star Wars Revisited "Ben's Hut" was the best edit in a way because it was put back to how it was originally written and it turned out to be an improvement that was much better before it was interfered with and edited out of sequence.
Although Revisited was edited amazingly well, this really grabbed me about how much better the sequence was once it was put back. I am strictly talking about shots within a sequence not scene orders.
