I'm not going to say that you potentially wouldn't benefit from a 35mm print, as it's always nice to have new material for comparisons sake, but considering how good this one is, I'd definitely focus on your other film, Deadly Friend first.

I have that and my own release of FN2 already using the 1080i file, however considering that it is an HDTV file, it's original encode was an MPEG-2 which causes multiple scene-changes to have pixelated blocks (which you will notice if you analyze the scene-changes frame by frame) and the sound could use a professional DTS-HD MA encode. Using the original film elements would sharpen the picture quality significantly as well as give this film the flawless release that it deserves.

Definitely interested in locating the Deadly Friend 35mm print, though, due to its rarity and likelyhood of never being given an official Blu release, my sights would definitely be set on that one first and foremost. Thanks for the message
