Maybe because there will always be bandwidth limits on how high you can go, physical media will make a come back. 2K streaming and 8K physical discs. PT streaming online, and ST and restored OT on 8K Blu-Ray discs ;-)

Really? It's not like they don't know 8K is a thing. And it's not like they have no foresight. They're not George Lucas, after all.
