One thing I have always found unfortunate about religion is the way most everyone believes their version of "the truth" is the correct version.
well naturally, If I believe X, I am going to believe X is the truth. If I didn't believe it X was the truth, how can I say I believe X?
It's a style of thinking that very religious people—through no fault of their own—may not be accustomed to operating under.
People such as my self tend to believe that everything (with the sole exception of proofs in pure Mathematics) is falsifiable.
All of my beliefs (again, giving exception to proofs in pure Mathematics) are therefore subject to change given a sufficient body of scientific evidence.
My head is filled with probablys and maybes and is subject to change at any time.
* It's worthwhile to note that I'm a Tooth Fairy Agnostic, so I really do go all-the-way with this.
