I think we should use a minus sign when a piece demotes, to indicate that we haven't forgotten.
That works. I will contact you about this game when you get where you are going. Sorry I've been so busy. I've been working extra shifts and I hardly can get online on my own computer.
How's it going?
If you're up to it, I think I can play a game now (regular Shogi to start with). I can pretty much guarantee that I won't be able to move more than once per day, except for weekends, but we should still be able to have a decent game.
I'm not up for Dejarik, though, since studying the rules will take up too much of the time (partly because my computer crashes a lot, so I'd have to open everything up every time I wanted to make a move).
I'll let you make the first move, though I might not be able to make mine until Monday.
Sorry, wasn't in a position to reply when I read this, then forgot about it. I probably won't be able to make more than a move a day either, but I'm up for a game right now.
I wasn't really enjoying Dejarik in such a format anyway, so I'm okay not playing it.
Glad to hear from you. Haven't heard from you for a while, though truthfully, I'm not participating here much myself.
So I'll make the first move as you suggested. But I'll try a different strategy I've never utilized before, which will likely cost me dearly, but I want to spice things up.

Well, I'll play it safe just in case it works. ;)

I do encourage you to try to be a bit more aggressive with me. Put me on the defensive.

Alas, my laptop is on its last legs, so I may not be able to make a move for a couple days. I'll make an effort to keep the game going, however, but the gaps between turns might be a little long until I replace my computer (hopefully within a week).

Hope you find a new computer. Nothing more aggravating than dealing with a computer on life support. Just pull the plug! (Get it? Get it? It's a joke!)
