Morjens. I'll go and see Starcrash, that's for sure.
Between November and January, our national film archive is showing films in the hype of TFA, titled Almost Star Wars. Unfortunately they don't show the OT most likely because of the rights and cost, but they do show The Ewok Adventure. I guess it would be fun to see even though it's one of the most boring films I've seen but as I have a ten free tickets, why not.
They are also showing Battlestar Galactica (maybe for me), The Black Hole, Battle Beyond the Stars (yes for me), Starcrash (yes), The Humanoid, Spaceballs and the Japanese Wakusei daisenso/The War in Space (maybe). Sounds like a fun way to spend some winter nights!
On a sidenote, I'm most excited about seeing Back to the Future trilogy marathon on October 21st 2015 by the archive, tickets sold out in 1-2 minutes. It will be great to see them on film for the first time.

What city?
You have to see The War In Space...
"Where's my illudium Q-36 explosive space modulator?"
Why Lucas or Fox never sued over this fellow, I'll never know!
I actually did a What's Up Tiger Lily? dub on this back in college. ;)

Helsinki, Finland.

Why didn't anyone tell me about The Humanoid or The War in Space? They look amazing.
I have a soft spot for Star Wars rip-offs. Wish they were doing something like this near me. Anything they're missing?
Unless Lexx didn't mention it, The Shape of Things To Come, which has nothing to do with H.G. Wells's story or 1930's classic film...

And another Japanese guilty pleasure, Message From Space...

If the FX shots look familiar, a lot of it was used in the old Laserdisc arcade game, Astron Belt. I also suspect George saw the movie, and took notes for the Death Star run in ROTJ. ;)
What is it with the Japanese and sailing ships in space anyway?

I've seen The Humanoid on TV, it's pretty weird but I found it enjoyable because of the pure SW rip-off theme. The Bond girls were very enjoyable as well, haha. I'd go to see it too, but I've already seen it twice. If SW rip-offs are your thing, it's recommended.
That Japanese one looks weird, too! I even have the poster for it. Maybe, maybe...

I know right. The DVD seems to be out of print sadly. Wish it would get re-issued, I'd buy a copy in a heartbeat.
VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.
I'd pay money for a copy of the version that inexplicably has Godzilla in it. ;)

If it's a fan edit, someone went to a lot of effort.
